Project: BIPV installation on a total area of 120m2 including active and non-active special double-glazed corner units.
PV Systems technology was used to help the new offices of NG Bailey acheive an 'A-Grade' rating on it's Energy Performance Certification. Building Integrated Photovoltaics, which combine glass with solar power, were installed on one aspect of the building. This integration not only provides the benefits of double glazing, but gives thermal insulation as well as noise reduction, the BIPV systems also provides solar electricity, privacy and shade.
The system helped the building to gain an 'A-Grade' efficiency rating, as well as to maintain its U-Value.
